Shakespear is still difficult to understand. It becomes easier, but you have to watch it repeatly it seems to really catch on to the language. I have gotten better than i was before we watched A Mid-Summers Night Dream. I don't understand how the language changed so much over the years. They sounded so formal compared to todays language.

I would not want to talk like that, but i wonder how the language changed so much between then and now. We use some of the same words, but they mean totally different thing. For example, wench means a young girl, now it is used as a bad term for women. Back in their day they would have not put up with all of our language, so why do we have to learn theirs. I get that is it good to know and it will help with the play, but seriously I am not going to talk to someone saying where art thou, ill say where are you? or hey whats up?. I like our language, and im sticking with it.
